If you want to use the subsidy, make a reservation at an accommodation facility that is registered for the subsidy project in Kawanehoncho. At check-in, if you present your car verification and sign the confirmation form, you will receive 3,000 yen to offset your accommodation expenses or cash back. The town is accepting applications for eligible accommodations until Friday, October 28.
The town's autumn foliage spots, Sumata Gorge Onsen, etc., have seen a sharp decline in tourists due to the suspension of the Oigawa Tondo Main Line due to damage from Typhoon No. 15 in September. The tourism association says, "There is no problem with car traffic to come to town, and we will subsidize it in the sense of gasoline cost for rental cars."
Kawanehoncho is also planning to subsidize the one-way fare of 160 yen between "Okuoi Kojo Station" ~ "Nagashima Dam Station" on the Oigawa Tondo Igawa Line, which resumed operation of the entire line in late October for one month from November 1 (Tuesday).
Kawanemoto Town is located in the central part of Shizuoka Prefecture. About 90% of the town area along the Oigawa River is forested. "The Most Beautiful Village in Japan" Union We are a member of.
