Saga City's Autumn Balloon Festa Held with an audience for the first time in 3 years|Simultaneous events in the city at 12 locations
Saga City will hold the "2022 Saga International Balloon Festa" at the Kase River riverbed in the city from November 2 (Wed) ~ 6 (Sun).
This is the first time in three years that the festival has been held with spectators. A total of 96 balloon teams from Japan will participate in the competition and compete for accurate flight. Visitors can also experience mooring boarding.
In addition, events such as mystery-solving adventures, marches, antique markets, and lighting will be held at 12 locations in the city under the title of "Autumn City Events". Locations and dates are different. During the period, a shuttle bus will operate between the Kase River riverbed and the venue of the event in the city (9:00~17:00).
The Saga International Balloon Festa is one of the largest hot air balloon competitions in Asia, held every autumn. The photo of multiple balloons flying in groups is famous. When there are spectators, more than 800,000 spectators gather in Saga City every year.
Saga City said, "This year, the festival will be held with spectators for the first time in three years, and the competition will be held at 7 a.m. ~ 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. ~ 5 p.m. It is especially recommended to visit in the early morning when there is little wind." I say.
