Nationwide travel support resumed at the beginning of the year from January 10, 2023|Discount rate reduced to 20%
The Japan Tourism Agency announced today that it will implement "nationwide travel support" from the beginning of the year based on the new discount rate announced in late November from Tuesday, January 10, Reiwa 5.
The implementation period of the national travel support is until the budget of each prefecture runs out. The new discount rate is 20%, and the maximum discount amount is 5,000 yen (1 night) for travel products with transportation, and 3,000 yen for other items (including day trips). The coupon (electronic) is 2,000 yen on weekdays and 1,000 yen on holidays. The discount rate is the same as the one announced on November 25.
The implementation of nationwide travel support is based on the premise that there are no situations that require new restrictions on activities during the target period.
