The electric trike has three wheels, one in the front and two in the rear, with a total length of 2 meters and a width of 1 meter. There are two colors of the car body, blue and green. The maximum speed is about 40 km/h, and you can drive with a regular driver's license (AT only). The vehicle is small and easy to drive on small roads, slopes, and coastlines on the island.
During the introduction period, two units each will be placed at the sales offices of Ryotsu, Aikawa, and Ogi, where there are many tourists. Currently (4/6) it is rented in Ryotsu, and he says, "I want to put it in two other places before GW" (TOKI Rent-a-Car).
The fee is 3300 yen for 2 hours (1100 yen for 1 hour) and 6600 yen for 1 day (24 hours). If the power is exhausted during use, the user must supply power (100V for home use). In general, hourly use is recommended. Current applications will be accepted at the TOKI Rent-A-Car head office (Yawata) and will be accepted at sales offices in the future.
The electric trike is a vehicle called "LAVITA" developed by Access Co., Ltd. in Yamanashi Prefecture.
As for the background of this introduction, he says, "Sado City has been selected by the national government as a leading decarbonization area, and we were looking for an electric vehicle with a low environmental impact." The company has also started selling LAVITA vehicles.
