"2023 Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival" will be held for the first time in 4 years|Limited to 80 pairs of cigarism love love seats sold

On Tuesday, August 8, 2023, the "2023 Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival" will be held for the first time in four years, and approximately 10,000 fireworks will be launched.

びわ湖大花火大会

This year's fireworks display is based on the theme of Shiga Prefecture's tourism concept of "cigarism," which proposes an experience of time and life. Dedicated bleachers are set up about 2 km from the lakeshore green area to the Otsu Port Marina. At the event, messages from kindergarten children in Otsu City will be included in the fireworks, and will be introduced on the official website and pamphlets. In addition, special fireworks will be set off to commemorate the partnership between Shiga Prefecture and Michigan in the United States and Hunan Province in China.

There are 14 types of paid bleachers, and the price is 4,500 yen for adults ~ 60,000 yen for floor seats. Tickets are sold on the official website of the tournament and at some specialist vendors. The featured ticket is the special seat "Cigarism Love Love Seat Plan" (40,000 yen for pairs) that can be viewed at the Otsu Port Terminal, and includes early check-in and all-you-can-drink including alcohol, and is available for 80 groups and 160 people.

The event will be held from 19:30~20:30, and there will be no postponement in case of cancellation.
The organizer of the Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival Executive Committee commented, "This year will be the first time in four years that the event will be held, and we expect about 350,000 people to attend."
