JR West Japan plans a sightseeing train "WEST EXPRESS Ginga" Kinan mini tour for children

JR West Japan will hold a mini-tour for children during the daytime on Saturday, September 23, 2023 to coincide with the start of operation of this year's sightseeing train "WEST EXPRESS Ginga" Kinan Course, which will begin in September.

The mini-tour takes about 2 hours from Shingu Station ~ Kiitawara Station (Kisei Line) round trip. You can also take a commemorative photo on the sightseeing train Galaxy in children's uniforms. In addition, sweets will be prepared for children, and a market selling galaxy goods and local products will appear. In addition, there will be a special galaxy coloring book made by Shingu Station staff and an in-car broadcast experience by lottery. On the day of the event, around 9:30 ~ 12:30, we will meet and dismiss at Shingu Station.

 

Approximately 100 people will participate by lottery, and adults and elementary school students will apply in groups of 2 to 4 people. The participation fee is 1,000 yen for adults and 500 yen for elementary school students and younger, and it is free for preschoolers who do not need a seat. Applications must be made from the dedicated Japan Travel page by Sunday, August 20.

 

The sightseeing train "WEST EXPRESS Ginga" is a sightseeing train operated by JR West Japan in the JR West Japan area since September 2020. From September this term to March next year, the Kinan course is scheduled to operate 36 trains each by night (from Kyoto ~ arriving at Shingu Station) and daytime (departing from Shingu Station ~ arriving at Kyoto Station).
