In May and June of this year, Yamaguchi illegally obtained a customer's credit card information while working as a telephone operator at the JTB Tabimonogatari Chubu Sales Center (Nagoya City). And I was buying money for the streamer of the live streaming app. Currently, Yamaguchi denies the crime, but the police are investigating that Yamaguchi used the credit card information of 25 customers to defraud 8.7 million yen worth of money.

Yamaguchi illegally obtained a customer's credit card information when he signed a communication contract for JTB's mail-order products. A communication contract is established when a consumer applies by phone or online and pays with a credit card. If you have difficulty making online payments, you can use the phone and tell the operator your credit card information.

According to the Japan Credit Card Association, "About 95% of fraudulent use is number theft, and most of it is online damage such as phishing. Through a release, JTB announced that it would "work to prevent recurrence by thoroughly educating employees and implementing a management system," and when the editorial department inquired, "The incident is under investigation and I can't talk about anything other than public relations materials."
