Call for participants for the "New Sensation XR Bus WOW RIDER Ikossa! Fukui-go" Monitor Tour – Before Official Operation in Summer 2024
On December 25, 2023, the Fukui City Tourism Association and other organizations began recruiting participants for the futuristic tourism experience "New Sensation XR Bus WOW RIDER Ikossa!
On the monitor tour, you will experience the history and culture of Fukui Prefecture by riding the WOW RIDE, a new sensation bus that makes full use of XR (cross-reality) technology that combines the real world and the virtual world. Participants watched a drama that recreated the cultural city of the Warring States period, "Ichijotani," projected on the bus window using AR and VR technology. While savoring lunch produced by Fukui City Tourism Ambassador Kenchi Tachibana (EXILE), you will visit tourist attractions such as the Ichijoya Asakura Ruins and the Ichijoya Asakura Ruins Museum.

The "New Sensation XR Bus WOW RIDER Ikossa! Fukui-go" will operate as a sightseeing bus that will visit famous places from Fukui Station from the summer after the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen "Fukui-Tsuruga Station" in the spring of 2024.
