For 5 days from March 20 (Wed) ~ 24 (Sun), 2024, the event "AMAzing Kitasanriku! Unmeh Fair" will be held. The event was organized by the Kitasanriku "Ama-chan" Tourism Promotion Council.
In 2023, the towns of Hirono, Kuji City, Noda Village, Fudai Village, and Nobata Village, which make up Kitasanriku, will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the broadcast of "Ama-chan" and hold a "AMAzing Kitasanriku! campaign.
The event will be the tori of the campaign, and will include a course meal (2,500 yen) using Hokusanriku seafood and fruits, a mountain grape parfait (1,000 yen), a mamebu dumpling-style anmitsu (600 yen), a special product sale, and a quiz rally. There will also be hands-on events such as trying on ama kasuriki, making "mamebu", all-you-can-eat stuffing with kizami kelp and raw wakame, and sea urchin contact.
The event will be held from 11:00~18:00 (all times).
The event venue is operated by Happoen, which has a partnership agreement with Kuji City, the secretariat. The secretariat says, "Last year, there was a rerun of Ama-chan on BS, and not only traditional fans, but also many fans of the younger generation who saw the program for the first time visited Kitasanriku.
