Noto's new sake "Tsuru to Fuku" to be released on June 25 – Tsuruno Sake Brewery, which was completely destroyed, is revived with the support of a Kanazawa brewery with which we have a close relationship
Junmai Daiginjo "Tsuru to Fuku" 720ml (5500 yen), which was jointly brewed by Tsuruno Sake Brewery in Noto Town and Fukumitsuya brewery in Kanazawa City, which was completely destroyed by the Noto Peninsula earthquake, will be released on June 25, 2024 (Tuesday) in a limited edition of 2,300 bottles.

"Tsuru to Fuku" uses sake rice from Tsuruno Sake Brewery and two types of yeast from Ryozo (Fukumitsuya's own yeast + Association No. 1401), and the raw rice is 5 million koku 88% (from Ishikawa Prefecture) and 12% Yamada Nishiki (from Hyogo Prefecture). The alcohol content is 15 degrees, and it is characterized by an innocent and refreshing taste. The name of the product is taken from the name of Ryozo, and the name of Mr. Ryoto and the obituary are placed on the label, and the ink-colored frosted bottle complements the bright and powerful calligraphy.
The products are sold at liquor stores in the distribution network of Tsuruno Shuzo and Fukumitsuya, Fukumitsuya directly managed stores, and online shops.

When Fukumitsuya learned that Tsuruno Sake Brewery's sake rice had been rescued, he worked with them and started a joint brewing project in late March. Mr. Kaoruko Tsuruno of Tsuruno Sake Brewery (right) and Mr. Kazuhiko Itaya (left) of Fukumitsuya will serve as Mr. Mori. Both breweries are members of the Ishikawa Prefecture Federation of Sake Brewers Associations and have personal connections, so support and joint efforts were a natural progression.
Fukumitsuya, who was in charge of announcing the release, said, "The project had a strong desire to keep Ishikawa's unique local sake alive, and I hope that this will be an opportunity to turn attention to the current Noto."
