Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture is an area where the sea of clouds can be observed due to its basin surrounded by mountains, rice paddies, and many rivers. There are 8 sea of clouds observation spots in the city, such as ski resorts and observatories. In autumn, when there is a temperature difference, the appearance rate is high when the conditions of no wind in the early morning are met.

Rokkamachi Hakkaisan Ski Resort has the highest altitude (1,147m) among the Unkai observation spots in the area, and the summit is a large panorama with an unobstructed 360-degree view. You can observe the golden rice fields and autumn leaves spreading out below you and the scenery that folds with the sea of clouds.

The service is limited to 5 days on September 17 (Friday), 24 (Friday), 30 (Thursday), October 5 (Tuesday) and 7 (Thursday). We departed at 7:30 in the morning and arrived at the summit in 7 minutes. The round-trip fare is 2,000 yen for adults in September and 2,200 yen for adults in October. Half price for children. The price includes 1 cup of Koshihikari from Minamiuonuma and 500ml of spring water from Minamiuonuma.
