ANA redesigns sign language badge - Approximately 660 qualified staff will wear it in sequence Looking ahead to the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics

In anticipation of the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics to be held in October 2025, ANA has redesigned the special badges for cabin attendants and airport staff who can serve customers in sign language, and will begin wearing them sequentially from Monday, May 12.

The new badge is designed as a symbol of "compassion" and "kindness" with an illustration that resembles a heart-shaped sign language expression in which fingers intersect with each other, with white on a pink background.

 

Along with the color scheme that harmonizes with the uniform, it is a specification that users can see at a glance and intuitively convey that they are sign language support staff.

The badge is worn by cabin attendants and airport staff who have a qualification of "Sign Language Proficiency Test Level 4" or "National Sign Language Test Level 4" or higher, and currently about 660 people wear it.

 

From October 2024, ANA will operate at domestic counters at 52 airports nationwide using dedicated terminals. Remote Sign Language Interpretation Service It also offers:
