At the hands-on event, you will board a real diesel locomotive and make two round trips on a course of about 150 meters under the guidance of an active driver. The journey takes about 1 hour. The participation fee is 10,000 yen (cash payment on the day), and guests staying in the Unazuki hot spring town receive a 2,000 yen discount. You will receive a nameplate of the experience driver and original railway goods.

Toyama residents and residents of Ishikawa, Fukui, Nagano, Niigata, and Gifu can get a 5,000 yen discount if they use the "Toyama Travel Monitor Experience Plan".

There are only a few reservations left in January and February, except for users of the monitor experience. You can apply on most days in March. In addition, if the slot for the monitor experience is not filled, general reception will be possible.

From spring to 11/30, the Kurobe Gorge Trolley Train runs 20.1 km from the first train "Unazuki Station" to the last "Kinpei Station" in 1 hour and 20 minutes one way.

A railway representative said, "We started the event to convey the charm of trolley trains in the winter when trains are suspended. It's hard to balance maintenance and events, but it's worth it to hear the joy of the participants." I say.
