Dotonbori Pro Wrestling Amami Tournament|Call for support held at CF|Goal of 1 million yen
The Amami Oshima Pro-Wrestling Project has started crowdfunding with a target amount of 1 million yen for the "Dotonbori Pro-Wrestling Amami Oshima Tournament" to be held on Saturday, July 2. Applications will be accepted until 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 16.
The idea of holding the tournament started with Dotonbori Pro Wrestling's ace Sora Fang visiting Amami Oshima on the 25th anniversary of his career as a player and thanking the islanders for the hospitality he received from the islanders. The purpose is to revitalize the island, where there is little entertainment, and to invite 800 children on the island.
The tournament will feature special participation by professional wrestling legends "Seikatsu Funaki", "Great Tomta", and "Jaguar Yokota", who have deep ties to the organization. The players will stay on the island for three nights from July 1, and will participate in eve festivals, contact with children, sightseeing tours, drinking parties, etc.
Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing method. When the target amount is collected, you will receive a support money. The funds will be used for management, publicity, transportation/stay, and merchandise production.
Mr. Morimoto, an office worker who is a member of the tournament project, says, "The tournament will not be a one-time event, but will be a continuous event that will be familiar to the islanders and tourists."
