Uninhabited island "Sarushima" off the coast of Yokosuka in Tokyo Bay|Art event will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights until 3/6

The executive committee of Yokosuka City and other organizations is holding the art event "Sense Island - Sensory Island - Dark Art Island 2021" at Sarushima (Yokosuka City), an uninhabited island in Tokyo Bay, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights until March 6 (Sunday). The name 2021 was scheduled to be held last fall.

The theme of the event is "sound". Thirteen groups of artists, book directors, and others will be exhibited. Through his works, he expresses the memories and sounds of Sarushima.

Doors are open from 16:50~21:00. Take the 16:50/17:35/18:15 ferry from Mikasa Pier and land at Sarushima. After the art tour, we returned to Mikasa Pier by the designated ferry. It will be held at a time when you cannot usually enter the island.
Tickets are sold exclusively on the official website. The fee is 3,500 yen for adults and 1,500 yen for elementary and junior high school students. 2,500 yen for adults and 1,000 yen for elementary and junior high school students. One attendant under elementary school age and those with a disability certificate is free of charge (advance reservation required). The event will be held with the support of the Agency for Cultural Affairs.

I want you to confront yourself and your senses again on Sarushima." Explained.

 

A person in charge of Yokosuka City said, "Currently, we are promoting tourism around historical sites in the city under the title of Route Museum, and the Sarushima event is one of them. I would like to continue to combine the city's resources and art and utilize it for tourism." I say.
