Rakuten Travel|"2022 Nationwide Inns Proud Signboard Cat Ranking" Announced|2 Inns in Nagano Prefecture in the Best 3

Ahead of February 22 (Cat Day), Rakuten Travel announced on its special site 20 cats that ranked 1st ~ 19th in the "2022 Nationwide Ranking of Proud Signboard Cats" (2 cats tied for 5th place).

For 50 signboard cats entered from 50 accommodation facilities nationwide, Rakuten members voted for the signboard cats that they think are "cute" and "want to meet" between 2/7~2/13, and the ranking was determined from a total of 8,623 votes. Here are the 3 best billboard cats:

1st place (569 votes) is Nagano Prefecture Nozawa Onsen Kiriya Ryokan Former shelter cat "Kinako". I work hard with 5 other ex-rescue cats. She has a calico pattern and a shy personality. It is good at guiding customers from the front desk to the guest room and warming their knees.

 

The second place (473 votes) is Oita Prefecture Beppu Onsen Shindama Ryokan (commonly known as Nyantama Ryokan) "Shikamaru". It is characterized by its physique that weighs more than 7 kg and its gentle personality, and is popular for taking good care of kittens. There are about 80 cats living in the inn.

 

Third place (469 votes) is Nagano Prefecture Hakuba Village Kappo Ryokan Minamiya & Bettei Nekodoro Minamiya "Kumakichi". It is characterized by its long coat and short tail, and is reputed to look like a bear cub on its back. They like to be held and are good at jumping to chest height.

 

Nozawa Onsen Kiriya Ryokan says, "Kinako is a former rescue cat from Tokyo, and now she is working hard while learning from her seniors. I want you to come and see Kinako." I say.
