Sendai Uminomori Aquarium|Japan Sake Night with Fish|8 sake breweries in Miyagi and Yamagata gather

After normal business on Saturday, May 28, the Sendai Uminomori Aquarium in Miyagi Prefecture will hold the "Japan Sake Night Aquarium," a reconstruction support event where sake breweries from Miyagi and Yamagata prefectures will gather to serve local sake.

The concept of the event is "Drinking Japan sake with aquarium fish". On the same night, eight sake breweries from Miyagi and Yamagata prefectures will gather at the aquarium to serve local sake.

 

Specifically, sake breweries in Miyagi Prefecture are "Kakuboshi" and "Oyama Honten" in Kesennuma, "Heitaka Shuzo" in Ishinomaki, "Saura" and "Abekan Shuzo" in Shiogama, and "Sasaki Sake Brewery" in Yuriage. Yamagata Prefecture is Zao's "Zao Sake Brewery" and Kurihara's "Kinnoi Sake Brewery".

Food is provided at a low price, such as "Ikagoro grilled rice" devised by the aquarium, Nanban of Kesennuma's specialty fuka, dishes using Sanriku delicacies, and local dishes from Sendai.

 

Admission tickets are sold in advance for 3,600 yen and 4,700 yen with sashimi. Each ticket includes an admission ticket, an original glass, and two tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets (1,000 yen for 4 cups and 300 yen for 1 drink) will be sold at the venue. Advance admission tickets can be purchased on the aquarium's website or at Seven-Eleven Lawson.

 

Reception on the day 17:50~, Doors open 18:30~21:30 (last reception until 21:00).

 

To get there, take Sendai Station to Nakano Sakae Station on the JR Senseki Line (about 18 minutes). About a 15-minute walk or the Miyako Bus Sendai Uminomori Aquarium Line.

 

The event has been held since 2017 as a reconstruction support project for the Great East Japan Earthquake. This year, it has the meaning of supporting sake breweries affected by the Corona disaster.
