Kyoto Gion Festival "Yamaboko Parade"|Held for the first time in 3 years, general sale of bleachers tickets starts on June 7

The Gion Festival is the general headquarters of the Gion Faith Shrine in Higashiyama Ward. Yasaka Shrine During the month of July 1 (Fri) ~ 31 (Sun), various festivals will be held at Yasaka Shrine and other wards. The gorgeous "Yamabo" proceeds along the main road of the capital.

 

Paid bleachers will be set up between Kawaramachi-dori ~ Shinmachi-dori in Oike-dori for the pre-festival (7/17) and between Kawaramachi-dori ~ Shinmachi-dori and Karasuma dori and Takakura-dori in Oike-dori (7/24) for the post-festival (7/24). The organizer of the "Mountain Parade" is Gion Festival Sanhō Federation

The price of the bleachers is 4,100 yen for general seats and 9,500 yen for manabi seats (with earphone commentary). The fee is the same for the pre-festival and the post-festival (two types). All seats are reserved and pamphlets are included. Sales are "Kyoto Tourism Navi" In addition, convenience stores, play guides. About 5,000 tickets were sold for the "pre-festival" and about 2,000 for the "post-festival".

 

Before Corona, during the "Pre-Festival" (7/14-16) and "Post-Festival" (7/21-23), the streets were crowded with food stalls and lanterns lit in the evening. The format of this year's event has not yet been decided.
