Shizuoka Prefecture, Oigawa Tondo|Fireworks show at the terminal station|Nighttime special SL train operation
On Saturday, October 30th, Oigawa Tondo in Shizuoka Prefecture will operate a temporary SL and a special train to watch the fireworks show "Oigawa SL Fireworks Trip ~Kawane Hanabi Road~" to be held at Senzu Station, the end point of the Oigawa Main Line.

The operation section of the special train is Oigawa Tondo "Shin-Kanaya Station" ~ "Senzu Station". The schedule at the time of operation is that the temporary SL train will depart from Shin-Kanaya Station at 17:54 ~ Greeting fireworks ~ "Arrive at Senzu Station 19:14" ~ Watch the music fireworks show, "Depart from Senzu Station at 20:58" ~ "Arrive at Shin-Kanaya Station at 22:14". A special train is scheduled to depart from Kanaya Station at 17:31 ~ arrive at Senzu Station at 18:50 ~ watch a music fireworks show ~ depart at Senzu Station at 21:21 ~ arrive at Kanaya Station at 22:29.
This is the first time in about two and a half years that the railway will run SL trains at night. On the special SL train, you can also watch the fireworks from the window twice during the journey. Both trains will watch a fireworks show for about 40 minutes at Senzu Station.
The fare (all specified) is 28,000 yen per person (up to 2 people per box) for the "Temporary SL Kawane Hanabi Road Ride" and 8,000 yen per person for the "Temporary Train Ticket". Lunch box, tea, and souvenirs are included. Tickets will be on sale from the evening of October 5 to e-plus.
To access Shin-Kanaya Station on the Oigawa Railway, take the JR Tokaido Main Line from Shizuoka Station and get off at Kanaya Station (about 30 minutes) and walk for 20 minutes. The station is known as the station where you can meet the Thomas.
The fireworks show is jointly held by Oigawa Tondo and Shizuoka by the smoke and fire company Ikebun.
