Undiscovered Kappa statue entry is highly evaluated|Photo contest & stamp rally in Kappa town, Tajimaru Town
Kurume City is holding a stamp rally and a photo contest where you can win local products if you participate in the "kappa" spots scattered around Tajimaru Town, which is said to be the town of Kappa.
It is said that the legend of Kappa is passed down in Tajimaru Town, and there are 1,000~2,000 kappa statues scattered throughout the town. Recently, from the perspective of town revitalization, new stone statues and manholes have been developed. Last year, August 8 was registered as "Tajimaru Kappa Day" (Japan Memorial Day Association).
The stamp rally goes around 12 types of "kappa" and takes pictures, and if you present your photo at the stamp stamp store (7 locations), they will stamp it. If you attach a photo of the mount and apply online, you will win a local product by lottery. The photo contest takes a photo of "Kappa" in the town and posts it on Instagram with "#河童の日フォトコンテスト2022".
