In early March 2023, Fukui Prefecture and Fukui Broadcasting System will broadcast the TV drama series "Hatsute Kagayaki - Hokuriku Shinkansen Fukui Tsuruga 1st Anniversary Drama" set in the prefecture on the video distribution services "TVer" and "Hulu" and Fukui Broadcasting System (FBC TV).

The drama is 5 minutes per episode and has a total of 10 episodes. Actor Kyoya Honda plays the role of the railway employee "Susumu" in the lead role. AKB48's Haruka Sakagawa was cast as "Kagayaki", a mysterious girl who calls herself the Hokuriku Shinkansen (both from Fukui Prefecture). In addition, talents from the prefecture appear in each episode. The extras were prefectural residents. The content of the work is a heartfelt comedy in which the two main characters travel around the prefecture and have high hopes for the opening of the Shinkansen.
The director is Shigekatsu Honda of the drama "Fugitive Doctor F (NTV)" and the screenplay is written by Saki Kuniyoshi of "Handsome Doctor Eat Rice (TX)". The production company is NTV. Filming is scheduled to take place in late November ~ early December at Awara Onsen, Tojibo, Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum, and other spots that represent Fukui Prefecture.
