Japan Tourism Agency plans to support nationwide travel with a new system in the new year |

Japan Tourism Agency's nationwide travel support

The Japan Tourism Agency (JTA) announced today that it will implement the "National Travel Support" under a new system from the new year onwards and that the currently implemented system will be implemented until December 27.

New systems, such as a new discount rate, will be applied to nationwide travel support after the new year to curb overheated usage. The discount rate under the new system is 20% (currently 40%). The maximum amount is 5,000 yen (currently 8,000 yen) for "travel products with transportation" and 3,000 yen (currently 5,000 yen) for direct accommodation reservations and day trips. In addition, the uniform coupon is 2,000 yen on weekdays (currently 3,000 yen) and 1,000 yen on holidays (unchanged). In principle, it is issued by electronic coupons.

The details of the new system have been announced, but the timing of implementation will be decided based on the future infection situation. The aim is to announce the new system in November and move to operation as soon as it is decided to implement it.

In addition, it was announced that the nationwide travel support currently being implemented will be until the end of December, but it will be implemented until December 27 (Tuesday).
