Shari Town issues premium coupons that can be used during the drift ice tourism season (December / end of the month)|10,000 yen and 5,000 yen for the younger generation

There are three types of coupons. A coupon worth 15,000 yen is sold for 10,000 yen as "Basic". As a breakdown, it is set to be used for 5,000 yen each in three fields such as nature guides, accommodation, food and drinks, and souvenirs. "Access Plus" is a 20,000 yen coupon that can be used for public transportation from Memanbetsu Airport to Shiretoko for 13,000 yen, which is an additional 5,000 yen worth of basic coupons.
In addition, a special "Youth Travel Support" has been issued. 18~24 years old will receive a coupon worth 10,000 yen, and 25~29 years old will receive a coupon worth 5,000 yen. The former can be used for nature guides and food and drink souvenirs, and the latter can be used for food and drink souvenirs worth 5,000 yen each.
The coupon will be sold on a special mobile site in late December. Details will be announced on the Tourism Association website (mid-December). The coupon can be used from the time when the drift ice comes ashore in Shiretoko. Basic and Access Plus will be held on Saturday, January 21~, and support for youth travel will be held on Sunday, February 26~. All will be available until Tuesday, March 21.
In mid-December, Shari Town opened a special website for drift ice tourism such as the Drift Ice Walk, the Shiretoko Five Lakes Eco Tour, and the Drift Ice SUP. In terms of transportation, we plan to boost drift ice tourism by increasing the number of buses connecting Memanbetsu Airport and Shiretoko. Shari Town says, "Tourism is still in a difficult situation (after the sightseeing boat accident), and we would like to welcome people who come to drift ice sightseeing with a great coupon."
