Kumamoto Prefecture turns the Minamata-Ashikita area into a vast tourist farm "Kumamon Farm"|Agricultural harvest experience program provided
On Saturday, January 28, 2023, Kumamoto Prefecture will open the Minamata and Ashikita areas in the southern part of the prefecture as a tourist farm "Kumamon Farm" and will hold hands-on programs on the theme of agricultural products and food.
Currently, Kumamoto Prefecture is promoting the concept of "Kumamon Land" as a vision that allows the entire prefecture to experience the charm of Kumamon. In the Minamata-Ashikita area, the plan is to brand the tourist farm "Kumamon Farm" in collaboration with Kumamon and agricultural, forestry and fishery products that take advantage of the climate.
"Kumamon Farm" provides agricultural product harvesting and food experience programs by businesses in the Minamata and Ashikita areas. Harvesting salad onions planted by Kumamon, harvesting citrus fruits with Kumamon marks, making Kumamon-shaped pizzas, etc. Harvested vegetables, citrus fruits, and special products are sold by mail order "Kumamon Farm Flight" and other plans.
