"Camellia Festival" to be held in early spring on Izu Oshima|Recruitment of contest participants for the camellia queen who is in charge of PR of the island
From January 29 (Sun) ~ March 26 (Sun), 2023, the "48th Izu Oshima Camellia Festival" will be held in various places in the Izu Islands "Oshima".
On the first day of the Camellia Festival, the opening ceremony will be held at Tsubaki Plaza in Oshima Park from 10 a.m. During the period, about 3 million camellias that grow wild on the island, and more than 1,000 species of camellias will be displayed at camellia orchards and other facilities. At the main venue, Oshima Park Tsubaki Plaza, there is a special exhibition of camellias decorated by the flower studio "Plantica" and stalls selling special products such as camellia oil.
In addition, there is a camellia flower garden illumination (from 3/21), a night festival (Friday and Saturday) with folk songs and hand dances, and a petal dyeing experience (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays). There is also a photo contest (1/29~3/31) that you can apply for by Instagram or email.
In addition, Tokai Kisen departing and arriving at "Oshima" Mystery solving event "Reveal the mystery at the Izu Oshima Camellia Festival" Implemented.
