On Friday, January 27, 2023, Hishino Onsen Tokiwakan, a hot spring ryokan at the foot of Mt. Asama in Nagano Prefecture, will open "Sauna Space Tojiba" with a new Finnish-style sauna building near the hot spring resort at an altitude of 1,050 meters.

The sauna building is a place where you can take a mountain train from Tokiwakan to a hot spring resort (open-air bath with a view) at an altitude of 1,050 meters, and then walk for about 2 minutes along the mountain road. The Una building is made of logs, and hardened wood is used as fuel to create a classic hole-in-hole style. There is a water bath that uses spring water in the surrounding area, and a chill space with swings and chairs. When using the sauna, wear a swimsuit or poncho (rental available).

The fee is 4,400 yen per person and 26,400 yen for private use (including towels, sauna mats, and bath towels). Apply on the official website by appointment only. Business is divided into 5 parts a day (first time 9:00 ~ and last session 16:30 ~), 120 minutes per session. Sauna users can also use the open-air bath.
