On Saturday, April 15, 2023 and Saturday, May 13, 2023, the spring "Atami Sea Fireworks Festival" will be held in Atami City. The event was organized by the Atami City Federation of Hotel and Ryokan Cooperatives.
The Atami Sea Fireworks Festival is a famous event held more than 15 times throughout the year. About 3,000 fireworks are set off that day. The highlight is the finale "Niagara in the Sky" and "The Sound of Fireworks". The "Niagara in the Sky" launched from the entire venue illuminates as brightly as midday. The launch site at the wharf jutting out into Atami Bay is surrounded by Mt. Mikata, and the sound of fireworks reverberates loudly.
Fireworks launch time is 20:20~20:40. The launch location is from the wharf of Atami Bay, so the general viewing is the entire coastline from Sun Beach Beach ~ Atami Port.
Fireworks display in Atami City First held in Showa 27 。 According to Atami City, "The many fireworks displays held throughout the year are maintained by the ryokan association, tourism associations, and the city, either alone or in cooperation with each event."
