[3.11 to 12 years] PR video to travel to Namie Town with loved ones and make memories|What can you know locally?

On Wednesday, March 1, 2023, the town of Namie in Fukushima Prefecture released a PR video titled "I Want to Visit with My Loved Ones, A Trip to Namie Town, Fukushima Prefecture," which tells the story of a couple's trip with voice actors.

The video is about a woman inviting her seniors to travel for two days in Hamadori, Namie Town, which she was interested in. The journey of the two begins with a minibus from the front of "Namie Station" station. First of all, we went to the udon shop in the container house for lunch. After that, you can experience painting traditional crafts, compare local sake, and enjoy sake lees sweets. Enjoy filming at the "Lucky Park" where Pokemon characters appear, and then go shopping at the station.

On the second day, learn about fish at a seafood processing shop in the fishing port, and enjoy seafood dishes for lunch. At the end of the trip, we stopped at the Namie Town Urkedo Elementary School, a remnant of the earthquake that tells the story of the disaster, and learned the truth about the earthquake that can only be known here.

Namie Town was severely damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake and the nuclear power plant accident, and evacuation orders were temporarily issued for the entire town. On March 31, 2017, evacuation orders were lifted in some areas, and human activities are gradually resuming.

For local access, take the Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Sendai Station. Transfer to the JR Tokiwa Line and arrive at Namie Station (3 hours 8 minutes ~). From Tokyo Station and Ueno Station, take the JR Limited Express Hitachi to Iwaki Station. Transfer to the JR Tokiwa Line and arrive at Namie Station (3 hours 25 minutes ~).
