Kamioka Castle is a castle tower built on the ruins of Higashimachi Castle by the warlord Ema who ruled Hida.
For more than half a century since it opened in 1970, it has been loved by residents and tourists as a symbol of Kamioka. This time, the contents of the exhibition have been completely renewed due to their outdate. Materials related to the history of the Ema clan and the ruins of the Ema Castle, a national historic site, are exhibited, and you can learn deeply about the history of the Kamioka area. From the 1st floor to the 3rd floor, there is a video exhibition where the curator introduces the history of Kamioka and the results of the investigation of the ruins of Ema Castle.

To commemorate the reopening, free admission to Kamioka Castle and the Ema Mansion Ruins Garden will be open until May 31 (Wednesday). Castle seals are sold at the roadside station Sky Dome Kamioka shop.

Mr. Oshita of the Hida City Board of Education said, "It introduces the results of research on the ruins of the Ema Castle for about half a century in an easy-to-understand manner, and I hope that many people will visit Kamioka Castle, the symbol of Hida Kamioka."
