OUMI WAVE, a beach resort located in the northern part of Lake Biwa, will open for the season on Saturday, July 15, 2023. It will be open until Sunday, September 24.
"OUMI WAVE" is located in the shallow Shinmeihama surrounded by pine forests, and the concept is "playing, relaxing, and eating". You can enjoy lake activities such as SUP, Canadian canoeing, and Mirage Eclipse, as well as relaxing time on the lakeside deck, furniture, tent sauna, local gourmet food from the kitchen car, café menus, local drinks, and shaved ice made with the snowy mountain water of Oku-Ibuki. A camping area is also available.
Admission is 500 yen for junior high school students and older (1,000 yen with shower) and 300 yen for elementary school students (600 yen with shower). Local access is 15 minutes by bicycle rental from JR Sakata Station. 15 minutes by car from the Hokuriku Expressway "Nagahama IC" and "Yonehara IC".
