On July 1, 2023, the Ashihara Onsen Ryokan Cooperative Association in Fukui Prefecture began selling "Awara Onsen Tickets for Enjoying Tickets" for a limited number of 1,000 people to commemorate the 140th anniversary of the opening of Awara Onsen this year.
Your ticket includes a one-time experience of Fukui Umaima Mono where you can enjoy craft beer, Japan sake, and Japanese sweets at the lobby and café corner of 11 inns. Awara Onsen is located in the countryside and currently has 74 hot springs, and each ryokan has different characteristics in terms of spring quality and efficacy.
The ticket is 1500 yen and includes a bag, bath towel, and face towel. Limited to the first 1,000 guests of the union ryokan. Sales will be suspended on 8/11~20, 9/16~9/24, and 12/29~1/3.
This project was conducted by Awara City, the City Tourism Association, and JR West Japan as a subsidized project of the Japan Tourism Agency for two years, and the Ashihara Onsen Ryokan Cooperative Association started as an independent project this year.
