The travel agency was aware that these reservations had not been made prior to the departure of the school trip, but left without informing the school, students, and parents in advance.
The travel agency reported the investigation to the parents at the school on the 21st. At that time, the travel agency apologized, saying, "We feel a great responsibility for the fact that we departed without informing you of the various changes until we had carried out the trip."
The travel agency says it will refund the full amount by mid-September this year, but parents have voiced their resentment over the problems that occurred on the trip, which is the last memory of their junior high school days.
School trips are usually based on the standard travel terms and conditions of the Japan Tourism Agency, and at the request of the school, a travel agency prepares a proposal that includes the itinerary, service contents, and price, and a contract document is exchanged.
