Hotel Metropolitan Haneda to open in Haneda Innovation City this fall|HICity to grand opening
The Zone 1 development project at the former Haneda Airport site, which is being promoted through a public-private partnership, has been completed, and the grand opening of the large-scale complex "Haneda Innovation City" (HICity) is scheduled for November 2023. It is operated by Haneda Mirai Development.
HICity is Japan's first smart airport city adjacent to Haneda Airport, with some facilities opening in advance in July 2020. R&D facilities and offices, an advanced medical center, event halls, accommodation facilities, Japan cultural experience facilities, and food and beverage facilities will be developed in the A-G zone. In September 2020, Keikyu EX Inn Haneda Innovation City opened as an accommodation.
The newly completed facilities that will open sequentially from autumn will be Hotel Metropolitan Haneda (6th floor) in Zone A, Fujita Health University Tokyo Center for Advanced Medical Research, offices in Zone B, and R&D bases for tenant companies in Zone C.
