Recruitment of participants at Aga Town, Niigata Prefecture "Tsugawa Fox's Bride Procession" (until 8/31)

Aga Town, Niigata Prefecture is looking for participants for the "31st Tsugawa Fox Bride Procession" to be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023. The event was organized by the Tsugawa Fox Bride Procession Executive Committee Secretariat.

The Tsugawa fox bride procession was held this year for the first time in four years. The procession recreates the legend of the fox on Mt. Kirin. In the image of a bride in the Edo period, a bride dressed in solid white with fox makeup parades along the street from evening to night, followed by a procession of about 108 people, consisting of applicants and local elementary and junior high school students. At night, torches and lanterns create a magical atmosphere. Participants will meet at 12:00, line up from 15:00, and end at 19:00.

 

Applicants will be offered 5 female and 9 male roles, and they will be asked to tell them what they would like to see when applying. This time, about 70 participants were recruited. The target is healthy people of junior high school age or older, who can participate in the practice on the night of Monday, September 11, and who must consent to the use of photos and videos. Participants will receive special products.
