In Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture, the "Sakura Cosmos Festa" will be held at Sakura Furusato Square from October 7 (Sat) ~ 22 (Sun), 2023.

The "Sakura Cosmos Festa" is a place where you can enjoy about 500,000 cosmos blooming against the backdrop of Dutch windmills. In the hall, you can experience digging and cutting cosmos (5 bottles for 100 yen, boots required). In addition, you can visit the inside of Japan's first water-pumping Dutch windmill (free of charge), and there is a corner selling specialty products and local vegetables. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, sightseeing boats operate at nearby Inbanuma (1,000 yen for adults, 500 yen for elementary and junior high schools).
Admission is free, and the event will be held from 9:00~16:00. Access to the venue is from the north exit of Keisei Sakura Station, and a temporary shuttle bus operates on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays (260 yen one way). There is a community bus service on weekdays.
The person in charge of Sakura City said, "We would like you to see the beautiful scenery of the cosmos and windmills interwoven against the backdrop of the sunset over the Inba Swamp, opposite the venue." Sakura City is characterized by the townscape of a castle town that has been certified as a Japan Heritage Site, and there are also the ruins of Sakura Castle and a group of samurai residences.
