"Lighthouse Holiday in Cape Eyama Lighthouse Park" will be held|Relaxing experience at Hakodate's historic lighthouse
From October 7 (Sat) ~ November 19 (Sun), 2023, the event "Lighthouse Holiday in Eyama Cape Lighthouse Park" will be held every other weekend and holiday at Eyama Cape Lighthouse Park in Hakodate City, Hokkaido, to experience the charm of the lighthouse. The organizer is the Cape Esan Lighthouse Utilization Council.

The event includes a guided tour of Cape Eyama, which has been lit for about 130 years except during the war, and a chair experience (drinks and snacks included) where you can relax while looking at the Pacific Ocean, the Sea of Japan, and the active volcano Mt. Eyama. In addition, you will receive a "Lighthouse Passport" that allows you to use special benefits and discounts at facilities and stores on the way back from the event. For example, one-day bathing is half price, and you can receive drink service at restaurants. The event participation fee is 1,000 yen for online reservations and 1,500 yen on the day.
Cape Esan Lighthouse Park is located in the Todohoke district in the eastern part of Hakodate, about a one-hour drive from the center of Hakodate. The organizer, Cape Esan Lighthouse Utilization Council, is a group made up of U-turns and immigrants. The event is funded by a grant from the Japan Foundation "Ocean and Japan Project".
