On Saturday, November 18, 2023, Tokyo Midtown Yaesu will hold the event "Shinshu IPPON!", which brings together Japan sake breweries and wineries in Nagano Prefecture. The organizer is the Nagano Prefecture Federation of Retail Liquor Distributors' Association.

The event will be hosted by the Nagano Retail Liquor Distributors Association, of which the city's liquor stores are members, and will be the first joint event of Japan sake and wine to be held in Nagano Prefecture and beyond. There are a total of 78 breweries, including 62 Japan sake breweries and 16 wineries. The number of Japan sake exhibits will exceed the largest event held in Nagano Prefecture.
At the event, in addition to a tasting event where participating manufacturers bring one of their own brands, there will be an exchange event with sake makers, a talk session, and a food corner where you can enjoy Japan sake and wine pairings. There are also events organized by economic news media NewsPicks.
The venue is Tokyo Midtown Yaesu Conference 4th and 5th floor, and the participation fee is 4,000 yen. The participation fee includes participation in the tasting session and 1,000 yen worth of coins for paid tasting. Tickets are on sale now at eplus. The event will be held from 12:00 to 18:00.
Nagano Prefecture, a major producer of Japan sake and wine, ranks second in Japan in both the number of sake breweries and the number of wineries (according to the group).
