Susaki City, Kochi Prefecture, Miyajima "Narumu Shrine" in Tosa on a regular cruise ship|First guided tour

Every Saturday from October 28 ~ December 23, 2023, the Tourism Association of Susaki City, Kochi Prefecture, will offer a guided program for the first time to visit Narunashi Shrine, known as Tosa no Miyajima, on a regular cruise ship.

The program is to visit Narunashi Shrine by crossing Uchinoura Bay on a regular cruise boat from the pier in the Yokonami area. Guides will be provided on board and at shrines. After the visit, there is also an optional program for breakfast, lunch, and raft fishing experience.

 

The schedule is as follows: depart from the dock at 8:00, visit Narumu Shrine at 8:08, and return at 8:32. The visit takes about 15 minutes. The fare is 2,000 yen per person and 400 yen (round trip). Souvenirs such as vegetables, wild vegetables and fruits are included in the price. The optional program is 1500 yen (breakfast) ~ . The minimum number of participants is 2, and the application is to the Susaki City Tourism Association.

 

Susaki City is located in the center of Kochi Prefecture and is characterized by its intricate coastline and calm waters within the bay. Regular cruise ships are a means of transportation for local residents and operate three times a day in Uranouchi Bay. Narunashi Shrine was built in 460 AD and is located in the Narunashi (Otonashi) district. The Kasuga building in the main hall is a national important cultural property and is also famous as the god of marriage.

 

The tourism association is promoting that "public transportation is inconvenient, but we would like to propose a nostalgic trip using local infrastructure such as regular cruise boats."
