Otaru and Yoichi, Hokkaido will collaborate to hold a four-month long-running event "Otaru Yoichi Yuki Monogatari" from November 1, 2023 (Friday) ~ February 18, 2024 (Sunday) to propose winter fun.
At the event, various projects will be held where you can feel the connection between Otaru and Yoichi. The theme of Otaru's "Blue Canal" and Yoichi's "Amber Dream" is the theme of the nighttime illumination. There will be a stamp rally where people go back and forth between towns to complete illustrations, and 10 stores in Otaru and 5 stores in Yoichi will hold the "Otaru-Yoichi Winter Marriage" that offers set menus of local sake and ingredients.
In addition, the special accommodation plan "Night Lantern Walking" allows you to rent a lantern and enjoy a night walk. A glass art exhibition will be held at Otaru Station, and a winter-themed SNS-worthy work will be developed on the second floor of Yoichi Station. In addition, the posters and leaflets are designed to feel the connection between Otaru and Yoichi.
During the event, if you post photos of the scenery and dishes that left an impression on you, 100 people will be selected by lottery to win a "double fromage" from Lutao, a pastry shop in Otaru.

It is easy to get from Otaru to Yoichi in about 30 minutes by train, bus, or car. In addition, the Otaru Canal will celebrate its 100th anniversary in December, and from September 100 Day Project is being done.
