Enjoy Minamiuonuma's Koshihikari with a serious winter (maji) bowl - All 20 bowls will be released on December 16th

In Niigata-ya Minami Uonuma City, the "Minami Uonuma, Serious Rice Bowl" campaign 2023 "Winter Maji" will start on Saturday, December 16, 2023. The campaign ends on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

The "Minamiuonuma, Serious Rice Bowl" campaign is a gourmet event in the ninth year where you can enjoy a large bowl of rice bowls using Koshihikari from Minamiuonuma, which is said to be the best in Japan. Over the past eight years, a total of 420,000 rice bowls have been served, and this year the event is being held in two parts, autumn and winter.

In addition to the restaurants that participated in the Autumn Maji, restaurants in the ski resort are also participating, and a total of 18 restaurants (20 rice bowls) are participating. Each restaurant's bowl menu includes meat, fish, local dishes, and takeout, and the menu will be released on Saturday, December 16. Prices range from 780 yen to 2880 yen, keeping prices low.

In addition, during the winter maji, an Instagram hashtag campaign will be held to win Koshihikari and other items. The Minamiuonuma City Tourism Association says, "Majidon is becoming more and more recognized every year and is very popular, and it is recommended to make a reservation in advance because each store can be crowded."
