On Monday, July 26th, the Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc specialty store "Japanese chestnut confectionery kiito -raw silk-" in the Atami Ginza shopping street started selling Mont Blanc parfaits (eat-in and take-out) that combines Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc and Okinawan mango.

The eat-in is "1mm Japanese chestnut and Okinawan mango parfait" (2,760 yen). A combination of Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc, mango jelly with Okinawan mango and sansho, and panna cotta. Lychee sorbet and Tanna yogurt by Atami give you a refreshing feeling.
To go is "1mm Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc soft serve ice cream mango flavor" (1,200 yen). It is topped with Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc with uniquely blended mango sauce and Hokkaido milk.

In order to express its gratitude to those involved in the reconstruction of the mudslide damage, the store will provide free "Montblanc soft milk" (take-out) to the people concerned and citizens every day until the end of August.

The store is a long-established hot spring inn "Furuya Ryokan" founded in 1806 and opened in March this year in the Atami Ginza shopping street. It features a 1mm brocade Mont Blanc made from Japanese chestnuts from Kumamoto Prefecture.

When I asked the tourism association about the current situation in Atami, they said, "The marine fireworks will be canceled until the event on 8/9, and the fireworks will be canceled until the start of August for 8/18 (Wednesday), 8/22 (Sunday), and 8/27 (Friday). "There is no problem with using public transportation, but there are places where access for cars using national highways is difficult due to landslides." That's it.
