Izumo Tourism Association|Special cruises around Izumo Nichigobi and small fishing boat cruising are also available.
The Izumo Tourism Association of Shimane Prefecture will operate a special cruise around the scenery of Izumo Nichi-Gobi at the western end of the prefecture from August 7 (Sat) ~ September 19 (Sun).

The special cruise allows visitors to experience the scenery and history and culture of the Shimane Peninsula Lake Shinji Nakaumi Geopark, which is home to strange rocks from the tectonic era, the mythical Oyama Oki National Park, and the sacred land of Izumo, a Japan heritage site.
There will be two special cruises for a total of seven trips.
The first is "Nichigobi Cruising 2021₋ Nichigobi ₋ seen from the sea". Operates from Nichi-Gobi Fishing Port ~ Kyojima ~ Near Nichi-Gobi Lighthouse ~ Geo Coast ~ Izumo Matsushima. The date and time are 8/8 (Sun), 8/22 (Sun), 9/5 (Sun), 9/19 (Sun) at 11 o'clock and about 40 minutes. The fee is 2,000 yen for adults and 1,500 yen for elementary school students and younger.
The second is "Inasa-Nichigobi Cruising ₋ Visit to Nichi-Gobi Shrine by former sea traffic ₋". Taisha Fishing Port ~ Visit to Nichigobi Shrine ~ Operate Taisha Fishing Port. The date and time are 8/7 (Sat), 8/28 (Sat), 9/11 (Sat) at 9 am and 3pm (Sat) departing at 3 pm, about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The fee is 3,500 yen for adults and 2,000 yen for elementary school students and younger.
In both cases, you can voluntarily pay for the conservation of the natural environment at the time of boarding (100 yen ~ 170 yen).
The number of applicants is 20 each time (minimum 5 people). To apply for a cruise, visit the Tourism Association website. Acceptance from areas subject to priority measures such as prevention of spread is suspended.
