In Samukawa Town, Kanagawa Prefecture, a special "Samukawa Shrine Ley Line Experience Tour" will be held on the day of the spring equinox on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. The event is hosted by the Samukawa Town Tourism Association.

The tour will be centered on the Samukawa Shrine, which is the only shrine in Japan dedicated to the guardian deity of "Happo Removal". On the day of the vernal equinox, the sun rises due east of Samukawa Shrine and sets due west to the summit of Mt. Fuji. There are many power spots on the line, such as Takebu Island (Lake Biwa, Shiga Prefecture) and Izumo Taisha Shrine (Shimane Prefecture), so it is called "Gorai Hikari no Michi" or "Ley Line".

 

During the tour, you will be exorcised at the main shrine of Samukawa Shrine, awarded a special Gorai Light Guard, and special admission to the sacred area "Mt. Kamitakeyama Shinen". Then, at the Hotoku Museum, an exhibition museum of Happo-Kaku, you will learn about the history of Samukawa Shrine and the belief in directions. The tour will be accompanied by a local guide.

 

Last year, there were 138 applications for the capacity of 40 people, and this time the capacity has been expanded to 100 people.
