Lake Kawaguchi Mt. Fuji Ropeway|Superb Panorama Corridor Open|Mountaintop Walking Path to Enjoy the View
On Thursday, August 12, Fujikyuko's "Kawaguchiko Mt. Fuji Ropeway" will open the "Superb Panorama Corridor" between the ropeway stop and the summit of the mountain, overlooking Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi.
The "Superb Panorama Corridor" is a walking path that departs from Kawaguchikohan Station at the ropeway platform, gets off at Fujimidai Station at an altitude of 1,075 meters, and then goes up to the observation plaza at the top of the mountain with a gentle slope to overlook Lake Kawaguchi.
Until Tuesday, August 31, a 30-meter-long "wind chime path" was installed near the end of the corridor to hang 4,000 wind chimes. It is possible to take pictures of wind chimes and Mt. Fuji.
The ropeway fare is 900 yen for adults (500 yen one way) and 450 yen for children (250 yen one way). Summer business hours are 9:30~16:00 on weekdays (last departure at 16:20), Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays 9:30~17:00 (last departure at 17:20). There is also a hiking trail (about 40 minutes) between Kawaguchikohan Station and Fujimidai Station.
