Yamanashi Prefecture has been holding an "International Traveling Exhibition" of artworks since April 2024 as part of the "California Sister Cities" international exchange project in California, USA, and the Fuji-California Young Artists Expo, an international competition held in collaboration with the 21st Century Academia in Japan.

California Sister Cities in the U.S. is one of the organizations that participated in the "Fuji Five Lakes Global Village," an international joint project in the "Fuji Five Lakes Natural Metropolitan Area Forum" proposed by Yamanashi Prefecture in 2022, and this event is also part of this initiative.

On April 23, 2024, a press conference was held at one of the exhibition venues, the Lake Kawaguchi Music and Forest Art Museum (Fujikawaguchiko Town, Yamanashi Prefecture).
