Yugawara Beach, located at the southwestern tip of Kanagawa Prefecture, will be open as a beach from July 13 (Sat) ~ August 31 (Sat), 2024.
Yugawara Beach is a beach beach with black sand containing iron sand for about 450 meters, and the coast is shallow and the waves are calm, so even small children can enter the sea with peace of mind. From the sandy beach, you can see Hatsushima Island off the coast of Atami and Oshima Island in the distance, and on days you can see the Izu Peninsula. Swimming hours 8:00~17:00. For local access, take the bus from JR Yugawara Station to Manazuru Station and get off at "Umi House", which takes about 10 minutes. The municipal parking lot is limited to 30 cars.
Yugawara Town is known as a hot spring resort. Hot spring facilities that are easy to use on the way home from the beach include "Hotel Shiroyama" in front of Yugawara Station and "Miyakami-yu", a day-trip hot spring facility about 4 minutes by taxi.
