Ikata Town, Ehime Prefecture, Sadamisaki Experience Expo 2024 offers 30 experience programs to immerse yourself in the community
Ikata Town, Ehime Prefecture will hold the "Sadamisaki Experience Expo 2024" from July 20 (Sat) ~ September 30 (Mon), 2024 during the summer season, offering 30 region-specific experience programs. Registration is now open until Monday, September 23.

Located at the westernmost tip of Shikoku, the Sadamisaki Peninsula stretches for about 40 km from east to west, and is dotted with 55 villages, where the traditional way of life is alive. The Sadamisaki Experience Expo offers 30 hands-on programs sponsored by various local businesses, such as playing in the sea, playing in the field, gourmet food, and lifestyle culture.
There is a program where you can enjoy the phantom red sea urchin boasted by the divers (bare-diving fishermen) who inherit the traditional fishing, tataki dyeing using tadeai that has grown to a super large size on the cape, and a guided tour to witness the emerald time when the lights of the Cape Sada Lighthouse shine green for several minutes a day. Programs can be offered in the form of multi-hour workshops, one-day accommodations, or special plans for only one day during the period.
The experience fee for each program ranges from 100 yen to 50,000 yen. Advance reservations are required to participate in each experience program, and applications must be made on the official website by September 23. Payment of the experience fee is paid in cash on the day of the program.
Ikata Town says, "More than half of the programs were newly developed by the business operator for the experience expo, and we hope that you will enjoy the experience of immersing yourself in the westernmost part of Shikoku."
