Chubu Centrair International Airport to hold jazz event "Centrair Cool Jazz Festival 2024" on July 27 and 28
On Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28, 2024, Chubu Centrair International Airport will hold the Centrair Cool Jazz Festival 2024, a free-to-attend jazz event at the event plaza on the 4th floor of Terminal 1.
The jazz event is held every July as a spin-off project of the Centrair Airport Music Festival, an all-genre music event held every winter by Chubu Centrair International Airport. Under the theme of "Cool Jazz in the Hot Summer!", a total of 21 artists will participate over the two days, including professional and amateur artists active in the Chubu region and jazz bands from junior high school to university.
This year's focus is on two special units of big-name guests. On Saturday the 27th, violinist Makoto Takahashi's special unit "Makoto Takahashi Para★Dogs" will perform. On the 28th (Sun.), jazz musician Yoshihiko Naya's special unit "Yoshihiko Naya Cool Jazz Unit" will appear.
The event will be held on Saturday, July 27 at 11:00~16:30 and Sunday, July 28 at 11:00~17:00. Due to the event, both days Airport Piano will be discontinued.
