If you have a passport, you can use unlimited bus rides (6 round-trip trips per day) that start from Mashu Station and Kawayu Onsen Station, go around the roadside station Mashu Onsen, Lake Mashu with its transparency, Mt. Sulphur with its spectacular fumaroles, and Lake Kussharo, the largest caldera lake in Japan. The special summer route "Lake Mashu Bus" (3 round-trip flights per day * excluding the last bus) provides direct access to Kawayu Onsen Station ~ Lake Mashu 1st Observatory "Lake Mashu Kamui Terrace". In addition, the operating hours of the buses are also coordinated with the railway.
The price of the unlimited ride pass is 2,000 yen for 2 days for adults, 3,000 yen for 3 days, 1,000 yen for both 2 and 3 days for children, and free for infants. Sales offices include the Mashu Station Tourist Information Center, Kawayu Onsen Station Desk, bus rides, and five accommodations. The Lake Mashu Tourism Association advertises that "if you want to visit multiple sightseeing spots, a hop-on hop-off pass is a great deal, and even if you don't have a rental car, you can efficiently tour the vast tourist spots in eastern Hokkaido."
