Special lecture by Chef Hirohiro Tsujiguchi in Gamagori - "The 2nd Gamagori Mandarin Festival" pre-opening kick-off event

In Gamagori City, a special lecture by world-renowned pastry chef Hirohiro Tsujiguchi will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 at the kick-off event of the "2nd Gamagori Mandarin Festival" starting on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Currently, the organizer Gamagori Tourism Association is recruiting participants for the event.

The "2nd Gamagori Mandarin Orange Festival" will be held for about two months until December 31, with more than 60 businesses in the city participating, offering sweets and dishes using Gamagori mandarin oranges, as well as various related events. On December 3rd, "Mandarin Day", the whole community will eat Gamagori mandarin oranges and wear mandarin orange-colored items.

The kick-off event will be held at the Gamagori Classic Hotel, and Chef Hirohiro Tsujiguchi will give a special lecture titled "Bringing Local Treasures to the Whole Country: A New Challenge with Gamagori Mandarin Oranges and Sweets." After that, a panel discussion by six experts, including Chef Tsujiguchi, entitled "The Charm of Gamagori Mandarin Oranges and Sweets" will be held, and Gamagori mandarin oranges will be discussed. In addition, Chef Tsujiguchi's special sweets and Gamagori Classic Hotel's original tangerine sweets will be served.

Reservations are required for participation, with S seats (with souvenirs of Chef Tsujiguchi's sweets) 5,000 yen and A seats 3,000 yen. Reservations are now being accepted from the official website of the Gamagori City Tourism Association.

The tourism association hopes to raise the profile of the festival through Mr. Tsujiguchi's participation. "The details of the festival will be announced in early October, so please pay attention to it. You can enjoy the early-ripening mandarin oranges."
